What is the Leader Filters?
The Leader Filter on determines the trade size limits for the trades that can be copied by Auto-copiers. Only trades that fall within the set size range are eligible for copying.
Key Settings:
- Direction: Only leader trades with the specified direction will be copied.
- Minimum Lots: The smallest trade volume that can be copied.
- Maximum Lots: The largest trade volume that can be copied.
How does the Leader Filters work?
If the trade volume falls within the specified range (between the Minimum and Maximum Lots), it will be copied by Autocopiers. If the trade volume falls outside this range, it will not be copied.
How to Configure Leader Filters?
- Log in to Your Social Trading: To log in to your Social Trading account, click the “Get Started” button on the right-hand side, choose between “TradeQuo MT5” or “TradeQuo MT4”, and then click “Start”. Enter your trading account’s ID as the username and your password. Finally, click ‘Login.’ Alternatively, you can navigate directly to the Social Trading Login Portal to log in.
- Navigate to the My Copy Stats:
- If you haven’t followed any leaders, click the Social Trading logo on the left-hand side and locate the “Start Auto-Copy” button, highlighted in red, and click it to start copying a Leader of your choice from the Leader Board section. - If you have multiple followers, you will see a “My Copy Stats”. In this case, click the column and look for a leader for whom you wish to set the strategy
- Set Leader Filters: Under the Leader Profile scroll to “Leader Filters”, click “Edit” and set your preferences.
- Select Direction as desired: All, Buy or Sell
- Set the Minimum lots to the smallest trade volume you want to allow for copying.
- Set the Maximum Lots to the largest trade volume you want to allow for copying.
- Save Changes: Click “Save Changes” to set the filters
Example Settings:
- Direction: All, Buy or Sell
- Minimum Lot: 1
- Maximum Lot: 5
Example Scenario:
- Scenario 1:
- Leader’s Open Volume: 0.5 lots
- Since 0.5 lots is below the Minimum Lot of 1, this trade will not be copied by Auto-copiers.
- Scenario 2:
- Leader’s Open Volume: 4 lots
- Since 4 lots fall the Maximum Lot (5), this trade will be successfully copied by Auto-copiers.
- Scenario 3:
- Leader’s Open Volume: 5 lots
- Since 5 lots is equal to the Maximum Lot (5), this trade will not be copied, as trades equal to the maximum lot size are excluded.
